Lament of a Prince

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You turn,

Walk away.

I stand here alone.

I wish you would stay.

I apologize.

Too late.

Nothing said can change things.

I wish you would stay.

Never meant to hurt you,

By the things I said.

Can’t take them back now,

Can’t get them out of my head.

You won’t listen,

Too much pain.

I never meant to hurt you,

I’m the one to blame.

You ask what makes you different,

Why I even care?

Tongue dry, hands wet,

I cannot share.

Lily…

Lily…

I love you.

I love you.

Don’t leave me.

Please.

I love you.

Please stay.

Green seas stare back,

I cannot say!

You turn and walk

Away…

Away…

Away…

Unforgiven.

Our friendship gone forever.

Black eyes meet green no more,

Friends no more

Never.

You were the goodness in my soul,

Only light in me.

My last chance walks away,

What will become of me?

I apologize.

Too late.

Nothing said can change things.

I wish you would stay.

A/N- Harry Potter and friends and everything else you recognize do not belonging to me as they are the property and creations of J.K. Rowling.

Severus Snape attempts to apologize to Lily Evans after calling her a Mudblood, but she does not forgive him. From DH Chapter 33 Prince's Tale.

Just so no one thinks I've died or something, LOL. I've just been extremely busy and I hope to write a journal soon explaining. I wrote this in Creative Writing though and I thought I would share it. Be nice please, poetry is not my forté. ^^;
